If re-elected on 8th June I will continue to inspire the next generation.
I believe that motivating our young people to reach their full potential is key for the future of our country.
I held an Enterprising Women event at Bridgemary which was designed to encourage Year 9 school girls from Bridgemary and Brune Park to explore all career opportunities available to them and overcome any barriers of self-doubt they may have to become the next generation of Enterprising Women. The event was a great success and attended by local and national entreupeneurs including Jacqueline Gold CBE.
I also hosted an event at Bay House and was joined by businesswoman and star of TV's "The Apprentice", Karren Brady for a business and entrepreneurship workshop. Students from a number of year groups were tasked with an 'Apprentice' style challenge. After a morning of planning, they pitched their entrepreneurial ideas to me, Karren and a panel of local business people.
I regulary host Democracy classes for primary school students to help them learn about our political system and my role as an MP and often host school visits to the Houses of Parliament so the children can see and learn about the heart of our democracy.
If re-elected on 8th June I will continue to help our children flourish and reach their full potential.
