Local MP Caroline Dinenage was delighted to officially open the Great Big Advice Day at Ferneham Hall this morning.
The free event brought together over 30 community and voluntary organisations; including representatives from Hampshire County Council, Jobcentre Plus and the Citizens Advice Bureau. The 'one-stop advice shop' will provide help and information for the disabled; elderly and unemployed on a host of issues including benefit changes, jobs, banking and much more.
After opening the event, Caroline said:
"It's a pleasure to open the Advice Day, this event sends a strong and reassuring message to people that there is lots of help available for them, and I would encourage as many as possible to come down to discuss any concerns they might be having."
The Great Big Advice Day will run until 4pm today at Ferneham Hall, Fareham.
