Local MP, Caroline Dinenage, has been appointed Minister of State at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, in the government reshuffle.
Caroline’s new title is Minister of State for Digital and Culture and her responsibilities are:
- Online Harms and Security
- Digital and Tech Policy including Digital Skills
- Creative Industries
- Arts and Libraries
- Museums and Cultural Property
- Festival of Britain
Caroline had previously served as Minister of State for Care at the Department of Health and Social Care from 9 January 2018 until yesterday (13 February 2020), as well as in several departments as a junior Minister beforehand.
Commenting, Caroline said:
‘After two amazing years at the Department of Health and Social Care, I’m off to face big new challenges at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
My huge thanks to all the inspiring, incredible people it has been an honour to meet and work with along the way – the toughest and yet the best of jobs!
I will greatly miss everyone at the Department for Health but I am very excited about the new and exciting journey ahead!’
